THE NO-NONSENSE VIDEO GUIDES TO CLIMATE CHANGE
A humorous and engaging way to get to grips with climate change.
Climate change may now be a household phrase, but getting down to the nitty-gritty, and what to do about it, can be a turn off. The No-Nonsense Video Guides to Climate Change are a humorous and engaging way to get to grips with these complex issues for a wider audience than the ‘usual suspects.’
Building on the success of the New Internationalist No-Nonsense Guides, we will create four animated videos to explain key climate change issues. An accompanying website will be developed with a page for each video containing links to more detailed information and ways the viewer can take action.
Alter Eco Communications, a Digital Communications Agency specializing in promoting environmental causes online, will be leading the project and working with Danny Chivers, a freelance Carbon footprint analyst, writer, and performance poet. Danny is also the author of New Internationalist’s No-Nonsense Guide to Climate Change.
We will be working with partners like the student campaigning network People & Planet to spread the message as wide as possible, as well as through our own channels. The videos will also be a great resource for community groups, campaign groups and teachers.
The videos will be a valuable resource to anyone communicating climate change. High quality video files will be freely downloadable from the website for this purpose.

We are very excited to be receiving funding from APE for the No-Nonsense Video Guides to Climate Change project. It is more important than ever that we get the message across about the urgency of tackling climate change, but also empower people to be part of that. As an organization with 40 years of history in publishing, it is great for us to be able to work on this web based resource for a new project.
